Chief executive Nick Woodman said, sales of the secondary release (Hero 5 black and session) are more than they expected. It’s a good posture for this company when compared to its previous releases where the company did not get the enough profits from Hero 4 session. This second released camera can be fixed in to drone and can also be used for drone navigation.
It took around 1 year for GoPro to address and overcome all the problems in their first release (Hero 4 session). Because of this this company bared a lot of loss around $92 million. There were also a down rate of share around 70% since the release of the Session in July 2015.
To identify and to overcome all the complexities in first version of camera and to make the software/application easy user interface it took around 1 year and delayed the release of the Drone. Let’s hope its first drone will get as much profit as they expected.
